It's hard to believe it's been 27 years since Mary and I tied the knot.
It's hard to believe it's been 27 years since Mary and I tied the knot. I still remember the day we first met like it was yesterday. It was 1993 and I was a sophomore in college studying to become a teacher. Mary had just started her job at the local public library. Our friends set us up on a blind date, telling us we had a lot in common. We hit it off right away, talking for hours about books, current events, travel...anything and everything. I was absolutely smitten. A few months later, I decided to take the plunge and ask Mary to be my girlfriend. Thankfully, she said yes! Our relationship grew stronger every day. In 1995, during a romantic weekend getaway in Nashville, I got down on one knee and popped the question. To my delight, she said "I do" at our courthouse wedding the following spring. We've been inseparable ever since. Now we've raised two kids who have grown and flown the coop. Mary and I enjoy spending time together, whether relaxing at home or taking little trips here and there. Every anniversary, I feel lucky all over again to have found my soulmate. She's still the light of my life after all these years.
