Greg still laughs when he tells the story of how we met—at a contra dance in 1984! I was there with friends but couldn't take my eyes off of him as he spun partners across the floor. He asked me to dance and I was instantly charmed by his crooked smile and lumberjack height. We started dating shortly after and bonded over our love of folk music, hiking in the green mountains, and apple picking in the fall. Three years later, Greg proposed under the stars at our favorite spot by the Mad River. We married in a small outdoor ceremony surrounded by family. Now we have two boys who have given us three rambunctious grandkids. Greg still makes me laugh every day with his silly antics. I feel blessed that after 37 years, he's still my favorite dance partner for life.
