My mother signed me up for an online dating site 10 years ago and that's where I met Ida. Although our profiles didn't seem like a natural match, we decided to meet for coffee. I was instantly charmed by her wit and warmth. Three dates turned into a committed relationship and on our 3rd anniversary, I popped the question. We've been happily married ever since, raising our two energetic boys, ages 4 and 2. To celebrate 7 wonderful years as husband and wife, I arranged a weekend getaway to the cabin. The boys were excited for a "vacation with Mommy and Daddy." One evening over a private dinner and drinks by the firepit, I gave Ida a necklace for thanked her being the best mother and partner. As I clasped it around her neck, Ida smiled, eyes welling with happy tears. Sliding the ring onto her finger all those years ago is one of the best decisions I've ever made.
