Six years ago I married my best friend Tom in a beautiful beach wedding.
Six years ago I married my best friend Tom in a beautiful beach wedding. Every anniversary is special for us. This year, Tom wanted to do something just for us. He hired a babysitter for the boys and surprised me with a weekend getaway back to the same cozy bed and breakfast where we spent our wedding night. It felt so romantic to wander the same beach trails we walked as newlyweds, reconnecting as a couple again. Over a candlelit dinner on the porch, we reminisced about all we had been through together in the past 6 years. I'm so grateful for Tom's unwavering love and support, especially as parents. This anniversary was the perfect reminder of why I fell in love with my best friend all those years ago.
