Michael and I are celebrating 32 years of marriage this year. It's crazy to think how fast the time has flown by. We met in 1988 when a coworker set us up on a blind date. I was skeptical at first—I thought for sure I'd get stood up! But Michael showed up with a bouquet of daisies, and the rest is history. We dated long-distance for a while since he lived a few hours away. But it was love at first sight for both of us, and we knew we wanted to spend our lives together. Michael popped the big question during a weekend trip to Tahoe in 1990. We tied the knot the following spring in a small ceremony surrounded by close friends and family. Starting a family was next on our agenda. We now have two daughters and four rambunctious grandchildren who keep us young. Michael handles most of the childcare while I work, since he's always been the bigger kid at heart. These days we enjoy attending their soccer games and dance recitals together. I'm so grateful that after all our ups and downs, Michael is still my best friend and the love of my life. He makes me smile every single day. I look forward to creating more wonderful memories with my dear husband for many anniversaries to come.
