Jason is always coming up with unique surprises, so I had no idea what to expect for our second anniversary. As the sun rose, he led me outside where our car was loaded up for a road trip. We spent the day meandering down Blue Ridge Parkway, stopping when an incredible vista caught our eye. In the evening, Jason had reserved us a private fire tower overlooking the valley. Over a picnic of local cheese and wine, we reminisced about our courtship in that very spot two years prior. As darkness fell, we laid on the tower platform counting falling stars and feeling gratitude for the life we've built. Unorthodox but so perfectly us, it was the best way to mark another year of choosing each other's company every single day.
