We met in 1970 when I was working as an account manager for a mining company in Brisbane.
We met in 1970 when I was working as an account manager for a mining company in Brisbane. Jane was a school teacher and I thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. After dating for a year, I popped the question. Fast forward to today, and Jane is still the light of my life. To celebrate our golden anniversary, I wanted to do something special to commemorate where it all began. So I arranged a getaway back in Queensland, staying in the same little bed and breakfast we spent our wedding night 50 years ago. On our anniversary, I surprised Jane by taking her to the beach where I proposed. We spent the afternoon strolling along the shoreline, reminiscing about our lives together. As the sun began to set, we sat watching the waves roll in, holding hands just as we did all those years ago. I feel so grateful to have Jane by my side after all this time. She is my perfect partner and best friend, and I fall more in love with her every day.
