After a hectic morning at the hospital, I was thrilled for our spontaneous 10th anniversary getaway with Elliot. We hike through lush forests filled with birdsong. Lunch overlooking the surf-pounded coastlines is blissfully peaceful. After that, we stroll the pier hand-in-hand like in our early dating days. The spark between us feels evergreen. Over fish and chips by the rabble shoreline, we cheers to many more years together - come what may. This rare day away renews my spirit. I cherish quiet moments alone with Elliot, out of our hectic lives but deeply in love. Our anniversary is a reminder of the joy we've built, and all the simple pleasures still ahead to share side by side.
