To celebrate our pearl anniversary, I wanted to do something meaningful for Julia surrounded by nature.
To celebrate our pearl anniversary, I wanted to do something meaningful for Julia surrounded by nature. I arranged a week-long stay at my cousin's farm in rural Iowa. Over the years, Julia supported me as I built up my own farming operation while she worked as a nurse. I couldn't imagine going through life without her optimism and caring nature. During our time at the farm, Julia and I spent our days immersed in farm work alongside my cousin - feeding chickens, collecting eggs, bailing hay. In the evenings, we sat on the patio watching the sunset over endless cornfields. I told Julia how much she has meant to me all these years. Surrounded by the simplicity and beauty of the farming lifestyle, I was able to express my deep love and appreciation for the wonderful life we've built together. Thirty years have flown by but Julia will always be the sunshine of my world.
