Sarah and I had been dating for two years when I began planning the perfect proposal. Initially, I thought a hike in the mountains would set the mood. But after consulting her best friend Emily, I learned an elaborate scavenger hunt around town incorporating our favorite places was more Sarah's style. On the day, I sent Sarah on a clue-filled adventure that took her from our local bookstore to the park where we had our first picnic. The final clue led her to the beach as the sun was setting. When she arrived, she found me waiting with a bouquet of her favorite flowers. As I got down on one knee in the soft sand, I poured my heart out about how much Sarah means to me. Tears in her eyes, she gasped "Yes!" before pulling me in for a celebratory kiss with the ocean as our backdrop. It was the best day of my life thanks to the woman who said yes.
