Sarah and I first met in our sophomore year of high school algebra class.

Sarah and I first met in our sophomore year of high school algebra class. I had just moved to the city from a small town and felt very out of place. John noticed me sitting alone at lunch and invited me to join his friend group. We bonded over our love of books and music. A close friendship blossomed over the next year until, at our junior prom, I finally gathered the courage to ask Sarah to be my date. We shared our first kiss that night under the stars. After graduation, we both attended the University of Washington just down the road from home. I surprised Sarah on our one year anniversary by asking her to officially be my girlfriend at our favorite bookstore café.
