The first time I met Colin was at a backyard barbecue at some mutual friends' house.
The first time I met Colin was at a backyard barbecue at some mutual friends' house. I remember thinking how handsome he looked in his worn jeans and t-shirt, with dirt under his nails from working in the yard all day. We ended up talking all night and I was just drawn to his kind heart and great sense of humor. Two years later, he popped the question during a sunset cruise on Lady Bird Lake. We were so young but I knew he was the one. Our 10th anniversary was extra special since we renewed our vows in front of all our friends and family. I will never forget walking down the aisle in my wedding dress again and seeing the tears in Colin's eyes as he mouthed "I love you." After the ceremony, we decided to take a weekend trip, just like our honeymoon many years ago. Despite the challenges of work and life, Colin's smile still melts my heart like it did all those years ago. I am so lucky to call him my husband and best friend.
