Hilda and I met through some common friends after I returned from serving in the military. Even back then, her kindness and beauty stood out to me. After 3 years, we said our "I dos." 35 years have passed in what feels like a blink. We've built an incredible life together filled with adventures, raising our two boys who have grown into fine young men. To celebrate this major milestone, I arranged a family dinner at our favorite steakhouse. Later that night, Hilda and I took a walk along the park holding hands like we did early on. Pulling a box from my pocket, I presented her with a classic platinum ring featuring a pear-cut diamond, representing our eternal bond.
