We started dating while in university and just knew we wanted to travel through life together. Marriage isn't always easy with my job frequent deployments. But Simone holds down the fort so well for our little home. Video chatting helps bridge the distance, even if the spotty connection makes her roll her eyes some days! To mark 4 years, we wanted something low-key. We packed a picnic and drove to our favorite spot - a hill overlooking rolling grape vineyards as far as the eye can see. We caught up on little things from our days apart and laughed about inside jokes. I thank my lucky stars daily for her big heart and ability to find the bright side of anything. Life throws its challenges, but having Simone's unwavering love and support makes it all worthwhile.
